Match report A late call revealed that Marsden only had 6 players on the date of the fixture. Despite the best efforts of both captains and even attempts to play at alternative venue to get the game to go ahead circumstances just wouldn't allow it so in the end Consett had no choice but to claim a 20 point victory based on Marsden conceding the game.

The 20 points gained would at least see the league title race go onto the last day of the season which would see Kimblesworth in 1st place host Boldon CA whilst Consett in 2nd would host 3rd placed Littletown with it all still to play for
